Susan Casey Allen Boling

Susan Casey Allen Boling, 77, widow of William L. Boling, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at First Health Moore Regional in Pinehurst, NC, after an extended illness. Born on April 30, 1947, in Union, South Carolina, Susan was the daughter of the late Raymond Cecil Allen and the late Ruby Mae Casey Allen. Susan was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Chester, SC, where she found joy, friendship, and a sense of purpose in her faith. She treasured her time with her two granddaughters and enjoyed watching her South Carolina Gamecocks. Her spirit of fun showed through her love for playing cards with her friends in the Red Hats group in Villa Rica, Georgia where she formerly resided. Susan also resided in Durango, CO for a number of years and formed many memorable relationships with friends and neighbors retiring from the local school district. She spent 15 years working as an Administrative Assistant at the University of South Carolina Gamecock Club in Columbia, SC, where she was appreciated by colleagues and students alike. A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Friday, November 22nd, 11:00 a.m. at Barron Funeral Home 133 Wylie Street Chester, S.C. 29706 with Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating. Susan is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Elizabeth Susan Garner Farinella, of Southern Pines, NC, and her two granddaughters, Margaret Casey Farinella and Catherine Elizabeth Farinella of Wilmington, NC. She is also survived by her three brothers, Phillip Allen (Wanda) of Murfreesboro, TN, Kevin Allen (Debbie), and Joey Allen (Denise) of Lockhart, SC. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Allen Sumner, and her brother, Chris Allen. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the graveside New Hope Methodist Church 2149 Chester School Road, Chester S.C. 29706, to which all are invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Chester, 102 Church St, Chester, SC 29706.
