Stephen Francis Pavese (1949-2026)

Stephen Francis Pavese, 76, of Lenoir, NC, died of natural causes on March 12, 2026.

He was born in Chester, SC in 1949 to Frank Raymond Pavese and Nell Jackson and was the first of their two children. Stephen applied himself in literature and music and obtained a Bachelor of the Arts degree from Presbyterian University. He began his career as a social worker for the Department of Social Services, where he met his wife of 41 years, Raynett Griffin Pavese. He found his calling as a case worker for Chester County Hospital, where he worked until his retirement.

Stephen was preceded in death by Raynett Pavese, and is survived by his sister, Susan Morris (Terry), one daughter, Jillian Horner (Rob), and their three children, Savanna, Caitlin, and Sophia.

Receiving of friends and family is Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11:00 am at Barron Funeral Home, and the service is to follow at 1:00 pm .The burial will take place at Chester Memorial Gardens.
