Stephen Nicholas Patrick, 34, of Columbia, formerly of Chester, entered his heavenly home on May 30, 2026. Born on December 19, 1991, Stephen was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kind spirit and gentle heart touched the lives of many. Services will be held Wednesday, June 3, at 4:00 PM with visitation beginning at 3:00 PM at Westside Baptist Church with Rev. Gene Gaston and Rev. Steve Chappell officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, John Roger Patrick. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Wanda Kirkland Patrick, who loved and cared for him throughout his life.
He is survived by his brothers, John Roger Patrick, III, Justin Leroy Patrick and Michael Andrew Patrick all of Chester; his sister, Alicia Cherie Patrick (Cleon) of Rock Hill; and Tiffany Haynes of Chester.
Stephen dearly loved his nieces and nephews and treasured every moment spent with them. Left to cherish his memory are Tyler Copeland (Kylie), Trenten Patrick, Marayah Haynes, Quinten Caldwell, Zachary Little, Lilianah Patrick, Teegen Haynes, and Melah Haynes. He also leaves behind his beloved great-niece, Journey Rose Copeland.
Stephen loved spending time with his family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness. He especially enjoyed gathering around good food with the people he cared about most — particularly enjoying a great ribeye steak. He was also a devoted wrestling fan and especially enjoyed watching John Cena, whose matches always brought him excitement and joy.
He also leaves behind many cherished friends, including Cheyenne Pearson, Nathalie Hammonds, Scott Woody, and Charles Johnson, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Stephen’s life was marked by perseverance, love for his family, and the relationships he built along the way. Those who knew him will remember his smile, his strength, and the love he shared so freely. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
“Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in our memories and our hearts.”
