BLACKSTOCK, SC: Mr. Skippy Dale Yon, 67, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 13, 2017. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating.The interment will be private.The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM Friday, January 20, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home. Born April 4, 1949 in Aiken, SC, Mr. Yon was a son of the late Brodus and Elease Williams Yon.He was a graduate of Aiken High School and Aiken Technical College and was retired from SCE&G Nuclear Plant in Jenkinsville, SC.Mr. Yon was a member of Perry Assembly of God.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Brodus Yon, Jr and a sister Kathy Pou. He is survived by his companion of over ten years, Tammy Bell of Blackstock, two daughters, Amy Williamson of Aiken, SC and Candice Bell of Springfield, SC; six grandchildren, Bradley and Jermey Williamson, Stephanie Bell, Braylon Briggs and Bobbie and Rosa Phillips; three brothers, Jack Yon (Alice), Jimmy Yon (Lelia) and Ronald Yon all of Salley, SC; two sisters, Brenda Wooten and Gail Shiffner both of Salley, SC and Chad Briggs and Michelle Medlin whom he loved as his own children.
