Sidney Davis Royer

Sidney Davis Royer, Jr., 79, died Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Agape` Hospice of Rock Hill. A funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, August 8, 2010, at First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. John Porter officiating. Entombment will be private. Born September 16, 1930, in Bloomsburg, Pa., Mr. Royer was a son of the late Sidney Davis Sr. and Hazel Walters Royer. He was formerly employed with Springs Industries ? Eureka Plant and a member of First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife Ada H. Royer; three daughters Marlene Crosby of Chester, SC; Janie Mahaffey of Chester, SC; Ann Hartley of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons Ronnie Hawkins of Chester, SC; and Mark Hawkins of Chester, SC; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; three brothers Warren Royer, George Royer, Robert Royer, all of Pa. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00PM, Saturday, August, 7, 2010, at Barron Funeral Home 133 Wylie Street Chester, SC.
