Shirley Ann Ramsey Roberts

Chester Mrs. Shirley Ann Ramsey Roberts, 79, died, Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at her home. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday March 11, 2023 at Chester Freedom Ministries with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Pm to 1:00 PM in the sanctuary of the church. Mrs. Roberts was born August 19, 1943 in Rock Hill, SC and was a daughter of the late Elzie Ramsey and Maybelle Hardin. She attended the schools of York County and was retired from Springs Industries. Shirley was a loving caring person who never met a stranger. She was a member of Chester Freedom Ministries. She is survived by her step-father, Homer D. Lindsey of Chester, SC; one daughter, Wanda Griffin of Rock Hill, SC one son, Steve Brooks (Jan) of Rock Hill, SC; two grandchildren, Zach Brooks (Rachel) and Heather Griffin both of Rock Hill, SC; three great-grandchildren, Kaylie Griffin, Zayden Gaiton and Steven Cooper Brooks; four brothers, Billy Ramsey (Patricia) and Alton Ramsey (Sharon) both of Rock Hill, SC, Kenneth Ramsey (Shannon) of Blacksburg, SC and Dean Lindsey (Pauline) of Chester, SC; one sister, Trish Jennings of Newport News, VA and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 12 years, Wayne Roberts, her sister, Elaine McKeown, and her brothers Bobby and Larry Ramsey.
