Richburg Mrs. Shirley Ann Thomas Dawkins, 86, died Sunday, March 13, 2022, at her home.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Lando Church of God with Rev. Ed Harris officiating.Interment will follow in the Lando Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday at Lando Church of God and other times at the home. Mrs. Dawkins was born December 20, 1935 in Lando, SC and was a daughter of the late Charles Monroe Thomas and Emma Kee Thomas.She attended the schools of Lando and was retired from Manetta Mills in Lando.Shirley was an avid reader and loved spending time with her grandchildren.She was a member of Lando Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Dawkins McCrorey (Leroy) of Richburg and Neece Collazo (Joe) of Richburg; one son, Michael Thomas (Mary) of Rock Hill; two grandchildren, April Caldwell (DD) of Rock Hill and Ricky Lee Blackwell (Emily) of Pageland; six great grandchildren, Madison Caldwell, Nathan Blackwell, Logan Blackwell, Nora Blackwell, Tanner Thomas and Christy Locklear; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dawkins was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Gaston Dawkins; two sons, Joey Dawkins and Anthony Charles Dawkins; four brothers and two sisters.
