Sherrie Lynn Hucks

Sherrie Lynne Hucks, 69, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on August 7th, 2026 in Chester, South Carolina.

Sherrie enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, gardening, and working on her farm with her close friend James “Jimmy” Nunnery. Sherrie was a firm believer in Christ and practiced her beliefs within her everyday life. She always believed it was better to give than to receive and was a beacon of hope to her loved ones and those she cared for. She was an avid enthusiast of animals and nature and made her farm a sanctuary for that cause. 

Sherrie was married to the late William “Barry” Hucks, and had 4 wonderful children Carrie Hucks, Nicole “Nikki” Ferrara, William “Cody” Hucks, and Jessica Burgess. Sherrie also had 4 loving grandchildren Aimee Hughes, Timothy Hughes, Samantha Rivenbark, and Wyatt Rivenbark. Sherrie’s parents were Walter “Edward” Lane Sr. and Carrie Irene Lane who also had 4 other children, the late Walter Lane, Vann Lane, Annette Craig, and Tally Lane.

 There will be a service in honor of her life at Barron Funeral Home in Chester, South Carolina on Wednesday August 12th, 2026. Visitation will start at 11 AM followed by a public service and other arrangements the family has planned at 1 PM.
