Rock Hill, SC: Mrs. Sharon Joyce Stanford Burton, 71, died Thursday, January 16, 2014.The memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2014 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Hinson and Bishop David Levister.The interment will be private. The family will receive friends Monday, January 20, 2014 immediately following the memorial service at Barron Funeral Home until 8:00 p.m. Born November 28, 1942 in Golden, Mississippi, Sharon was a daughter of the late Elton Greene Stanford and Geneva Inez Long Stanford.She was a graduate of Itawamba High School in Itawamba, MS and also Itawamba Junior College.Sharon was employed with Chester Regional Medical Center, was a member of First Baptist Church of Rock Hill, SC and the Red Hat Society.She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.Her passion was spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Eddie Burton of Chester, SC and Andy Burton of Waukegan, IL; one grandson, Asher Burton of Chapin, SC and one sister, Jan Lavanchy of Longmont, Colorado.She was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Mangrum.
