Chester Mrs. Sarah Blanche Wylie Vess, 81, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Rock Hill, SC.A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Purity Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jason Myers officiating.Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at Barron Funeral Home. Born July 9, 1935 in Chester, SC, Mrs. Vess was a daughter of the late Joseph Wylie and Sarah Franklin Wylie and the widow of Mr. Jack Wallace Vess.She was a member of Purity Presbyterian Church and an avid sports fan.She loved the South Carolina Gamecocks and Atlanta Braves. Mrs. Vess is survived by her daughter, Lisa Vess Clark (John) of Rock Hill, SC; one sister, Virginia Caughman, Columbia, SC; one granddaughter, Forrest Hayden Mobley of Rock Hill, SC; two step-grandchildren, Jonathon Clark of Charleston, SC and Blair Clark of Chester, SC.She was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Wylie and a sister, Mary Joe Thorpe.
