Chester Mrs. Sarah Dale Gibson Smith, 88, died Sunday, December 18, 2016.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 23, 2016, at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. James Sanders and Rev. Ralph Byars officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 22, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 790 Hawthorne Rd., Chester, SC. Mrs. Smith was born February 16, 1928 in Chester County, SC and was a daughter of the late John Gibson and Jessie Bagley Gibson.She was a graduate of Chester High School and retired from Oxford Sewing Room as a seamstress.Mrs. Smith was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church where she was a choir member. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Diane Smith Dillinger (Jeffery) of Chester; one son, Wylie Smith, Jr. of Chester; one granddaughter, Melissa Ann Dillinger of Chester; three sisters, Pat Knox of Rock Hill, Alice Goode of Great Falls and Lois Honeycutt of Fort Mill; and numerous nieces and nephews.
