Sarah Panthea Myers Brantley

Raleigh, NC: Sarah Panthea Myers Brantley, 98, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Hospice of Wake County, Raleigh, NC. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Reverend Arthur Vick officiating. Interment will be held in Chester Memorial Gardens and the family will receive friends immediately following the interment at the graveside. Mrs. Brantley was born in Chesterfield County, SC on July 18, 1914 and was a daughter of the late John Evans Myers and Belle Glover Myers. She was the widow of Walter L. Brantley. Mrs. Brantley was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired from Springs Industries as a weaver. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and Springs Golden Age Club. She is survived by one grandson, David Brantley (Kathryn) of Raleigh, NC and two granddaughters, Camille Purkapile (Steve) of Parker, CO and Elise Romero (Robert) of Peoria, AZ; six great-grandchildren and her daughter-in-law Shirley Moore of Cosby, TN.
