Sara Belle Hood Dahnke

Blackstock, SC:Sara Belle Hood Dahnke, 90, died Sunday, February 13, 2022 at MUSC Health Chester Nursing Center. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday February 16, 2022 at Blackstock First Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Tim Foster officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. Born in Blythewood, SC on June 17, 1931, Mrs. Dahnke was the daughter of the late Werner Glenn Hood and Lelia Watts Hood. She was a graduate of Blackstock High School and worked for a short time with Walmart. Sara was a homemaker at heart. She was a member of Blackstock First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School and was active with the Women's Missionary Union. In addition to her parents, Sara is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Wayne Dahnke and a grandson, William Kyle Cassels. She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Wayne Dahnke (Janice) of Blackstock, SC and a daughter, Iris Dahnke Cassels of Columbia, SC; a grandson, Joshua Carl Dahnke (Elizabeth) of Chester, SC; two great-grandchildren, Brittany Allred and Jeremiah Dahnke; one sister, Eunice Hood Knox (Brice) of Blackstock, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
