Chester Sara Frances “Frankie” Melton Austin, 83, died Saturday, March 16, 2013.The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Bishop and Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Monday at Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Austin was born August 27, 1929 in Chester County and was a daughter of the late Will Melton and Leola Love Melton.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries as a spooler tender instructor.Mrs. Austin was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church. She is survived by three sons, William Austin and wife Roxanne, Gene Austin and wife Regina, and Sam Austin and wife Nannette all of Chester; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Melton and Harold Melton both of Chester and Johnny Melton of Blackstock; and seven sisters, Judy Hefner and Dot Welchel of Blackstock, Margaret Mobley and Lillie Friendly of Chester, Ethel Walls of Baltimore, MD., Ruby Melton of Clinton, SC, and Nannie Peay of Chester.
