Mr. Samuel Lyles Ferrell, Jr, 67, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at his residence.The funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend John Porter officiating.The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 PM Saturday at Barron Funeral Home and other times at the home. Born January 12, 1944 in Chester, Mr. Ferrell was a son of the late Samuel Lyles Ferrell, Sr. and Frances Purcell Ferrell.He was a graduate of Chester High School and a member of First Church of the Nazarene.He was retired from Port City Electric in Charlotte, NC as an electrician. He is survived by his wife Drucilla Wilson Ferrell; three daughters, Lynn Ferrell, April Ferrell Edens and her husband Preston and Katie Ferrell Miller and her husband Joshua all of Chester; one son, Samuel L. Ferrell, III and his wife Elizabeth of Chester and five grandchildren, Sammy Ferrell, Jacob Ferrell, Madison Edens, Jacquelyn Edens and KatelynnEdens.He was preceded in death by his brother, Marvin O?Neal Ferrell, Sr. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 173 Columbia Street, Chester, SC 29706.
