CHESTER, SC Mrs. Sadie Lucille Crosby Howell, 92, died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at the Chester Regional Nursing Center.The funeral will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Woodward Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Hinson officiating.The interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1:00 -2:00 PM Saturday in the church sanctuary. Born November 27, 1920 in Chester, SC, Mrs. Howell was a daughter of the late Major C. Crosby and Lelia Worthy Crosby. She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Springs Industries.She was the widow of Mr. John Timothy Howell. Mrs. Howell is survived by her brother, Bobby Crosby of Rock Hill, SC and her sister, Ruth C. Craig and her husband Clifford of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Bill, John, Major, Ernest and James Crosby and three sisters, Annie Mae McCollum, Mary Hare and Hattie Lingerfelt.
