CHESTER, SC: Mrs. Ruth Ferguson Triplett was eternally healed Sunday morning September 3, 2017.She went peacefully in her sleep from her home to be with our Lord and Savior after courageously battling Alzheimer’s for many years.Ruth was a faithful Christian, a loving wife, and caring mother, as well as a good friend to many in her community.A graveside service will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Jim McClure officiating.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home. Born December 2, 1930 in Boston, Massachusetts, Mrs. Triplett was a daughter of the late Ralph and Edith Ferguson. She was a 1949 graduate of Robinson Female Seminary in New Hampshire and was the owner and operator of Shugart Manufacturing.She was a member of West Side Baptist Church and formerly a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.Mrs. Triplett was preceded in death by her husband of over forty years, James Thomas Triplett, one brother, Jim Ferguson, and two sisters, Charlotte Dunklee (Ralph) and Helen Lowry (John). She is survived by two sons, Thomas Neeley Triplett of Columbia, SC and James Everett Triplett of Rock Hill, SC; one daughter, Elizabeth Triplett McCamy of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Ralph Ferguson (Katharine) of Wake Forest, North Carolina and Al Ferguson (Dana) of Orange Park, FL; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter and a very dear friend, Holly Kyle of Columbia, SC.
