Ruby Jean Ferrell, 94, passed away peacefully at her home in Chester, SC on May 20, 2026 surrounded by family. Born on October 12, 1931, in Forest City, North Carolina, she daughter of the late William Cleveland Lavender and Maude Laura Blankenship Lavender.
Throughout her life, Ruby was known for her caring spirit, strength and devotion to those she loved. She worked faithfully in the cotton mill industry and later retired from Essex Superior Communications where she built lasting friendships and touched many lives through her kindness and dedication.
Ruby Ferrell was preceded in death by her two sisters Irene Pool and Evelyn Dallas; two sons, Tony Ferrell and Eric Ferrell; and her daughter, Dian Perry, one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Ferrell Banks, along with many beloved family members, including 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren,extended relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory and her unwavering love will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Tabernacle Ministries in Great Falls on May 23, 2026 at 1:00 PM . Pastor Kenny Compton will officiate the service.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing Ruby Ferrells legacy of love, faith, and family will continue through the many lives she touched.
