CHESTER: Mrs. Ruby Elizabeth Roof Childers, 89, died Friday, February 17, 2012 at Chester Regional Nursing Center.A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, February 19, 2012 at Barron Funeral Home with Mr. Mike Roof, Rev. Roger Roof and Mr. Larry Roof officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 ? 3:00 PM Sunday at Barron Funeral Home. The interment will be private. Born June 19, 1922 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Childers was a daughter of the late Curtis C. and Sadie Louise McWaters Roof.She attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from JP Stevens as a weaver.She was a member of St. Paul?s Presbyterian Church. She is survived by one sister, Dorothy Campbell of Chester and eleven nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband Olin D. Childers, a brother John Roof and W.C.
