Roy Reynolds CHESTER:Mr. Roy Reynolds, 73, died Saturday October 11, 2008 at his home. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday at First Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James Sanders, Rev. John Porter, and Rev. Ralph Byars officiating.Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. Mr. Reynolds was born May 18, 1935 in Kershaw County, SC, a son of the late Freddie and Josephine Mattox Reynolds.He was a graduate of Chester High School Adult Education Program and graduated in 1976 with his son.Mr. Reynolds was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church. He was retired from Springs Industries. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Branham Reynolds; son, Calvin and wife Cathy of Chester; two daughters, Bonnie R. Byars and husband Rev. Ralph Byars, Sr. of Roebuck, SC and Judy R. Adkins of Rock Hill; five grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Freddie Reynolds of Chester; and sister, Carol Murphy of Lexington.He was preceded in death by brothers, David Reynolds, Sinclair Reynolds, and Nick Reynolds;sisters, Mary Branham and Roberta Rabon; and son-in-law, Roger Adkins. The family will receive friends from 6 ~ 8 Sunday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester.
