CHESTER, SC: Mrs. Rose Ann Simpson Brown, 86, died Friday, January 12, 2018.A funeral service will be held 2:00 Monday, 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church Chester, SC, with Reverend Clay Waldrip officiating.The interment will follow in Union Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM Monday, January 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church Chester. Born May 29, 1931 in Chester, Mrs. Brown was a daughter of the late Ernest C. and Mattie Hemphill Blanks Simpson. She was a graduate of Chester High School and attended Winthrop College.Mrs. Brown was retired from Kanawha Insurance Company.She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Handbells. She was preceded in death by her brother, E.C. “Snooky”Simpson, Jr. She is survived by two children, Lee B. Gaskey (David) of Chester and John W. Brown, Jr. of Anderson, SC; one sister, Patsy S. Sandifier (Bill) of York, SC and several nieces and nephews.
