Ronald Henry Gibson

Chester Mr. Ronald Henry Gibson, 69, died Monday, February 26, 2018, at Piedmont Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Chester Memorial Gardens with Rev. Lewis Vehaun and Rev Terry Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service. He was born February 7, 1949 in Chester, SC to the late James Henry Gibson and Sarah Lavenia Varnadore Gibson.Mr. Gibson was agraduate of Chester High School class of 1967 and he attended York Tech. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He also served in Berlin, Germany where he guarded the last prisoner of war, Hess, and also served two years in the Army National Guard. Mr. Gibson was formerly employed by Integrated Power ofRock Hill. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife of 47 years, Pamela Revis Gibson; one daughter, Christina Allen (Mark) of Chester; one son, Corey Gibson of Greenville; four grandchildren, Ashley Allen, Jacob Allen and Austin Allen all of Chester and Isaac Gibson of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
