Mr. Robert Lucius "Bobby" Wallace, 81, died Saturday, November 6, 2010, at White Oak Manor in Rock Hill.A private service and interment is planned. Mr. Wallace was born In Chester, SC on December 2, 1928 and was a son of the late Dr. William Robert Wallace and Lucile Melton Wallace. He attended Chester High School and was a member of Dority Presbyterian Church.He participated in special programs at the University of Miami and a special program at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC and was employed by The Chester Newsstand. He is survived by five nieces, Beth Wallace Craver of Hartsville, TN., Cile Wallace Wray of Charlotte, NC, Farley Wallace Bernholz of Chapel Hill, NC, Jean Wallace Rosenthal of New Haven, Ct., and Nancy Wallace of Durham, NC; one nephew, Dr. Furman Wallace of Anderson, Indiana; and several great nieces and nephews. Mr. Wallace was preceded by his brothers; Will Wallace, Dr. Furman Wallace, and Dexter Wallace. The family of Bobby Wallace would like to thank the exceptional staff and beautiful residents of White Oak Manor Rock Hill. Their love, care, friendships and attention enabled Bobby to live as independently and happily as possible for the 15 years that he called White Oak home.
