Robert McManus Robinson

Robert McManus Robinson, age 64, of Chester, South Carolina, passed away on May 5, 2026.

He was born on March 5, 1962 in Savannah, Georgia to James M. Robinson, Jr. and Georgia Daniell Robinson. He will be remembered for his endless charm and a deep love for Jimmy Buffett and the Clemson Tigers. An avid hiker and kayaker, most days he could be found exploring state parks.

He is survived by his two daughters, Courtney Robinson (Katrina) and Sarah Riddle (Chase); his grandson, Wyatt Riddle; two stepchildren, Brittany Reed and Jackson Hatch; three sisters, Bess Mayes, Kristi Groover and Kerrin Byington and a brother, Sydney McCutchen.  He was married to the late Beverly Gough.

The family will hold a private ceremony on his beloved Edisto River.
