Robert Proctor

Chester Mr. Robert Proctor, 81, of 1421 Old Richburg Road, passed away Wednesday January 1, 2014 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. Mr. Proctor was born in Chester, son of the late Robert F. and Ila H. Proctor. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Chester, retired from Springs Industries and was a Korean War Navy veteran.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Mahaffey Proctor and a daughter Ila Susan Proctor. Surviving are his son Lee Proctor and his wife Ann of Blacksburg; four grandchildren Beth Proctor of the home, William, Olivia and Samuel Proctor all of Blacksburg. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 1:00pm at Chester Memorial Gardens with Reverend Don Etters officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:45pm on Saturday at Barron Funeral Home.
