Robert Lewis Morrison

Robert Lewis Morrison, 72, died Thursday, September 12, 2024, at his home.  A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, September 16, 2024, at Edgemoor ARP Church with Rev. Bob Elliott officiating.  The family will receive friends Monday at the Church from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM.  Interment will be private.

Mr. Morrison was born February 4, 1952 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late Lloyd Edward Morrison and Mamie Armstrong Morrison.  He was a graduate of Lewisville High School and served with the South Carolina National Guard for more than six years.  He was owner and operator of Morrison Well Drilling.  Robert was past District Deputy of the 23rd district of SC and past Master of Richburg Lodge #89.  He was past President and a member of the Board of Directors for the SC Ground Water Association.  Robert was a member of Edgemoor ARP Church where he served as Deacon and Elder and also served on the cemetery committee.  Robert also served on the cemetery committee for Mt. Prospect UMC which is the church in which he was raised.

He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Terri Townsend Morrison; two children, Kevin Robert Morrison (Jody) of Richburg and April Morrison Gibson (Damon) of Richburg; six grandchildren, Gavin Morrison, Macey Morrison, Keegan Gibson, Eli Beard, Colt Beard and Ava Beard; one brother, Joe Morrison of Camden; one sister, Beth Medlin (Jamie) of Bluffton; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, John E. Morrison and David R. Morrison.
