Chester Mr. Robert Dale “Rob” Melton, 52, died Thursday, December 30, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM, Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Sherrill officiating.Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Barron Funeral Home and other times at the home of Gail Gram, 658 Dupree Street, Chester, SC. Mr. Melton was born August 14, 1969 in Chester, SC and was a son of the late John Robert Melton and Brenda Hoag Ochiltree. He was a graduate of Union High School and was employed with CM Steel Corporation as a fabricator. Robbie Dale was an accomplished guitarist and a very good cook. He enjoyed sharing his cooking talents with others. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Amanda Hendrix Melton; one daughter, Kayla Melton of Chester, SC; one sister, Marie Melton of Union, SC; one brother, Josh Ochiltree of Union, SC and several nieces and nephew and many cousins.
