Robert Delano Mccollum

Mr. Robert Delano McCollum, 58, died Monday, February 19, 2024 at Atrium Health Main. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday February 22, 2024 at Barron Funeral Home with Pastor Marty Roberts officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM also Thursday at Barron Funeral Home.

Del was born October 22, 1965 in Savannah GA, the son of Robert Eugene McCollum and the late Billie Ann Steinkuhler McCollum. He attended the schools of Newberry County and was employed with Catawba Plastics in maintenance. He loved music and his dog “Deacon”. Del was a dedicated worker and was devoted to his family; he was a jokester and loved a good laugh. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Great Falls, SC.

He is survived by his wife of over 24 years, Patricia Wishert McCollum; three children, Buddy McCollum of Edgemoor, SC; Parker and Hunter McCollum both of Great Falls, SC; ; his father, Bob McCollum and his wife Linda of Newberry, SC; one brother, Sam McCollum of Dallas NC; one nephew, Jacob McCollum of Dallas, NC; In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Patricia McCollum.
