Robert Lewis "Buck" Mahaffey

Edgemoor Mr. Robert Lewis “Buck” Mahaffey, 88, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Agape Hospice in Rock Hill.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Lando Cemetery with Rev. Roger Roof officiating. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of his son, Robert Mahaffey, 719 Lancaster Hwy., Chester, SC. Mr. Mahaffey was born September 23, 1924 in Rock Hill, SC and was a son of the late Lewis Mahaffey and Kitty Hargett Mahaffey.He attended the schools of Rodman and Oakley Hall, served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, and retired from Monetta Mills as a fixer.Mr. Mahaffey was a member of Lando Baptist Church. He is survived by one son, Robert W. Mahaffey and wife Janie of Chester; two daughters, Tammy Nunnery (Sonny) of Fort Lawn and Stephanie Love (Jackie) of Monroe, NC; two granddaughters, Holly Nunnery and Noel Nunnery both of Fort Lawn; and one sister, Louise Robinson of Chester.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Collins Mahaffey and a son, Alec Mahaffey.
