Chester Mr. Robert Wallace Cooper, 78, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Wayne T. Patrick HospiceHouse in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Waldrip and Rev. Melvin Pressley officiating.Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19,in the foyer of First Baptist Church. Mr. Cooper was born October 1, 1934 in Chester and was a son of the late John E. Cooper and Grace Simpson Cooper.He was a graduate of Chester High School and North Iowa Community College, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and a retired truck driver with Crouse Cartage Co.Mr. Cooper attended First Baptist Church and enjoyed working outside and tending his garden. He is survived by one son, Edward “Ted” Cooper and wife Ana of Chester; one daughter, Patricia R. Hanson and husband Randy of Mason City, Iowa; one sister, Betty C. Allen of Chester; and one brother, Jimmy E. Cooper of Richburg.Mr. Cooper was the widower of Mary Easley Cooper. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, P.O.
