Chester:Robert A.?Bob? Walsh, 93, formerly of Chester, SC died Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Ross Memorial Health Care in Kennesaw, GA. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Reverend Harry Gindhart officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 6, 2010 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary. Born in Chester, SC on August 12, 1917, Mr. Walsh was a son of the late John Tracy Walsh and Emma Grant Walsh. He attended the schools of Chester County and was retired from Kimbrell?s Furniture Store as salesman and Assistant Manager. Mr. Walsh was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he was former chairman of the board of trustees, a former usher, former president of adult fellowship Sunday School Class and former member of Bethel Lights. He was also former member of the Board of Directors of Chester Senior Services. Mr. Walsh is survived by his wife, Miriam Wade Walsh; one son, Robert Marcus ?Mark? Walsh of Blythwood, SC; one daughter, Mary W. Barry and her husband Rick of Marietta, GA; two grandchildren, Robert Barry of Glennville, GA and Ann Marie Polhemus of Canton, GA and four great-grandchildren.
