Chester, SC: Mr. Robert Ray Bell, 70, died Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home and other times at the home. The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Barron Funeral Home with Mr. Danny Christopher officiating. The interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. Born July 14, 1946 in Chester, SC, Mr. Bell was a son of the late Jay Bell and Guynella B. Outlaw. He attended Chester High School and was retired from Springs Industries as a supervisor with over forty-five years of service. Mr. Bell was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of over thirty-eight years, Christine Byars Bell; five children, Darlene B. Huntington (Tim) of Chester, Angela B. Gaston (Scott) of Chester, Evie Christopher (Danny) of Lancaster, SC, Malinda B. Culp (Allen) of Fort Lawn, SC and Lana M. Mobley (Tracy) of Chester; ten grandchildren, Josh, Ryan, Robert, Bailey, Morgan, Eden, Mandy, Kyla, Dillon and Savanna; four great grandchildren, Adalynn, Bladen, Malaya and Clayton; Mr. Bell was preceded in death by a brother, Palmer Bell.
