McConnells, SC: Mr. Rick E. Hershberger, 65, died Friday, April 24, 2020 at Hospice & Community Care in Rock Hill, SC. A drive-by visitation will be held at Woodward Baptist Church Tuesday April 28th, 2020 from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Born January 27, 1955 in Binghamton, New York, Mr. Hershberger was a son of the late Rollin and Marie Slater Hershberger. He was a graduate of Johnson City High School in Johnson City, New York and attended Baptist Bible College in Wilkes Barre, PA.He was retired from PPG Paints in Rock Hill, SC.He was a member of Woodward Baptist Church in Chester, SC.Rick enjoyed raising mallard ducks and trout fishing in New York and Cherokee, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife Jill Annette Bruce Hershberger. He is survived by three children, Todd Hershberger (Tracy) of Rock Hill, SC, Kristin Noonan of Monroe, NC and Zach Hershberger of McConnells, SC; grandchildren, Cassidy, Kelci, Kaden, Lexi, Luke and Audrey; one brother, Dan Hershberger (Carole) of Rock Hill, SC; two sisters, Amy Ayers (Tom) of Washington, DC and Beth Webb (Jimmy) of Bishopville, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
