CHESTER Mr. Richard E. ?Rick? Lewis, 53, recently of Chester, SC, formerly of Hatfield, PA and Key West, FL passed away Friday, July 22, 2011 following a brief illness. The funeral service will be 7:00 PM Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. John Porter officiating.The interment will be held at a later date in Greensboro Cemetery in Greensboro, Maryland.The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 7:00 PM Wednesday at Barron Funeral Home. Born January 31, 1958 in Landsdale, PA, Rick was a son of Richard Cawley ?Dick? Lewis and the late Elizabeth Ann Coffin Lewis.He was a graduate of North Penn School District class of 1976, and Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA, Class of 1980, where he was active in many events and editor of the college newspaper.He continued with graduate studies at the University of Delaware, Newark Delaware. He established several businesses in Northern Delaware and again in Key West, FL.Until recently, he was director of Information Technology Services at Chester Regional Medical Center in Chester, SC. In addition to his father and many friends, he is survived by two daughters, Sarah M. Odom of Rock Hill, SC and Ruby O. Lewis of Tallahassee, FL; one son, Richard D. Lewis of Ventura, CA;one granddaughter, Jency E. Odom of Rock Hill; one brother and two sisters. Memorials may be made to Chester County Animal Shelter, 2714 Dawson Drive, Chester, SC 29706.
