Richard Atkinson Hall, 81, died Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Piedmont Medical Center, Fort Mill SC. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Chester ARP Church with Rev. Clint Davis and Rev. Buzzy Elder officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Thursday at the church.
Born July 16, 1943 in Chester, SC, he was a son of the late Marion Jefferson Hall and Edith Atkinson Hall. He was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1961 and the University of SC. Richard owned and operated Richard Hall Real Estate. He was a member of Chester ARP Church where he was a Deacon. Dickie was an avid golfer and an avid Gamecock fan. He served his community well as a Board Member of Chester County Natural Gas Authority, Founders Federal Credit Union, Chester County Board of Realtors where he was former President, Chester County Home Builders Association, Chester County Hospital Board and a long-standing member of the Chester Downtown Development Association, Chester Rotary Club where he was a Paul Harris Fellow as well as a member of Chester Men's Golf Association.
He is survived by his wife over 60 years, Lois Moffatt Brice Hall; one son, Richard Atkinson Hall, Jr. (Lissa) of Fort Motte, SC; one daughter, Edith Pressly Hall of Fort Lawn, SC; nine grandchildren, Brice, Graham and Logan Hall, Bee, Charles and Wade Hall, Elizabeth and Ford Conger and Pearl Pressly Giltner; daughter-in-law, Amy Peterkin of Fort Motte, SC; sister, Barbara Hall Rose (Henry) of Greer, SC; brother, Wayne Hall (fiancé', Mary Shannon Boyd) of Winston-Salem, NC; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dickie was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Brice Hall and his brother-in-law, Thomas William Hardin Brice.
