Rev. Wilson Lee Busick

Rev. Wilson Lee Busick, 83, of Chester, South Carolina died Monday, November 8, 2010 at his residence.The family will receive friends TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9 from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Annette Bedford, Rev. Oscar Burdette, and Hospice Chaplain Verner Thornhill will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery . Born in Charleston, SC on September 7, 1927, Rev. Busick was a son of the late Verdie Lee Busick and Sarah Platt Busick.He was a graduate of the High School of Charleston, College of Charleston, and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary at Wake Forest, NC.He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He was ordained at the Circular Congregational Church in Charleston, SC and served in the following churches, United Church of Christ in Winston-Salem, NC; First Congregational Church in Asheville, NC; First Church of Christ Congregational in Clinton, Connecticutwhere he was named Minister Emeritus ; and Fishing Creek Presbyterian Church in Chester, SC. He is survived by Jessie Rodman Busick, his wife of 60 years; son, Wilson P. Busick residing in Middletown, CT; daughter, Katherine B.
