Reginal Ralph Mccorkle

Chester Mr. Reginal Ralph McCorkle, 82, died Monday, April 3, 2023 at his home. A memorial service will be 6:00 PM, Thursday, April 6, 2023 at Barron Funeral Home. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 8:00 PM. Mr. McCorkle was born May 16, 1940 in Lando, SC and was a son of the late Earl Lee McCorkle, Sr. and Maggie Hefner McCorkle. He was a 1958 graduate of Lewisville High School and attended Clemson College. Mr. McCorkle was retired from SCDOT as a road engineer. Reggie loved sports of any kind and during the 60’s and 70’s he coached little league baseball and later served on the board for Dixie girl softball where he was also coach for over fifteen years. Reggie loved his family, immediate and extended. He never met a person he could not tell a joke or a family story. He was the middle child and out lived all of his siblings. He is survived by one son, Robbie McCorkle of Chester, SC; one daughter, Bonnie Going (Walt) of Chester, SC; four grandchildren, Ashley Millwood of Chester, SC, Timothy Millwood (Heather) of Chester, SC , Ryan McCorkle (Julia-Hope) of Chester, SC and Taylor McCorkle (fiancé Caleb) of Rock Hill, SC; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary and his son John Thomas McCorkle.
