Leesville, SC Mrs. Rebecca Godbold Wagers, 64, an angel living here on earth was taken home to her heavenly father on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 unexpectedly. The funeral service will be 5:00 PM Sunday at Barron Funeral Home with Reverend Dale Roddey officiating. Interment will be at Bethlehem United Methodist Church. Born January 8, 1945 in Mullins, SC, Mrs. Wagers was the daughter of the late Wade Ernest and Gayle Underwood Godbold.She was a graduate of Rains-Centenary High School and attended Kings Business College and Limestone College. She was currently employed for twenty-six years at Lexington County Mental Health, devoting her life to caring for others.She was a member of Leesvilles United Methodist Church.Perhaps more than anything else, Becky was known for her over whelming love ofher family and friends.She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother.She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband James A. Wagers, Jr of forty-two years; one daughter, Carmen W. Bevis and her husband Robert of Charleston, SC; one son, James A. ?Jay? Wagers, III of Columbia, SC; three grandsons, Dillon Wagers, Robert Bevis, III and Parks Bevis all of Charleston, SC; sister, Nancy Scott and her husband Ed of Centenary, SC; four brothers, Wade Godbold and his wife Jean of Centenary, SC;Thomas Godbold and his wife Linda of Centenary, SC;Larry Godbold and his wife Linda of Florence, SC and James Godbold and his wife Pat of Centenary, SC; cousins Ann Flynn and Billy Godbold, her aunts, Augusta Saverance and Mildred Godbold; many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00- 7:00 pm Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie Street, Chester, SC.
