Ray Samuel Howe

Mr. Ray Samuel Howe, 79 passed away peacefully surrounded by his Family on Saturday April 2,2016 in Rock Hill. His life’s celebration service will be Tuesday April 5 at 11:am at Bethel United Methodist Church, Chester with Rev. Eric Shepard officiating.The interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. The family invites friends to visit them from 10 to 11:am in the Church sanctuary. Born October 23, 1936 in Tucapau, SC, Mr. Howe was the son of the late Henry Dewitt Howe and Edith McCall Howe. He was a 1954 graduate of Chester High School and a US Navy veteran.Mr. Howe was a retired contractor, past Chester County School Board member, Deacon and Gideon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Freda Grant Howe, two infant children Lesi Denise and one son, two brothers Henry Dewitt Howe II, Charles Ervin Howe and one sister Pat Howe Jackson. Mr. Howe is survived by one son Stan Howe of Roswell, GA; two daughters, Jenifer H. Stone and husband Mike of York and Emily H. Greene and husband Tim of Fort Mill; three adorable grandchildren Seth Greene, Sam Harcher and Aubrey Stone and a brand new Great-grandson Bradley Greene. In lieu of flowers the family request Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 101 York St. Chester, SC 29706 and your local Alzheimer’s Association Chapter.
