Randy Donald Welchel

Mr. Randy Donald Welchel, 65, died Monday, July 8, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM also Thursday, July 11 at Barron Funeral Home.

Mr. Welchel was born February 13, 1959 in Lando, SC and was the son of the late Gordon Welchel and Ruth Hancock Welchel. He was a graduate of Chester High School and was employed with Cone Mills in Carlisle, SC and Textile Art and Film in Chester, SC until its closing. Randy enjoyed playing golf and he loved his family. He attended Chester Freedom Ministries.

He is survived by his son, Jason Welchel (Nicole) of Fort Mill, SC; three brothers, Clarence Gordon Welchel (Karen) of Rock Hill, SC; Walter Welchel (Vickie) of Chester, SC and Tommy Howard of Chester, SC; one sister, Dianne Jordan of Chester, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
