Chester, SC Mr. Ralph Martin, 88, of541 2ND Street, died Monday August 24, 2009 , at Lancaster Convalescent Center. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Thursday August 27, 2009 at Evergreen cemetery, with Mr. Bill Lindsey officiating. Born in Cherokee Falls, SC, on March 24, 1921, he was the son of the late Preston Martin and Geneve Starkes Martin. He was a graduate of Cherokee Falls High School, and served in the United States Army during WW II. He was a Member of Second Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife Dorothy Clinton Martin of Chester, two sons, Charles Martin and wife Karen of Lancaster, SC, and James Martin of Tampa, FL; five grand children, Cindy Corkum and Ricky Martin of Tampa, Fl, Katie Martin and Leigh Ann Bailey of Lancaster, SC, and Kristen Rollings of Heath Springs, SC; one great grand son, Peyton Rollings of Heath Springs, SC The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM.
