CHESTER Miss Rachel Reolla McKown, 99, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Westminster Towers in Rock Hill.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday January 14, 2013 at Hopewell Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church with Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating.The interment will be at Hopewell A.R.P. Church Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Monday at Hopewell A.R.P. Church. Born November 17, 1913 in York County, SC, Miss McKown, was the daughter of the late George W. and Edna Castles McKown.She was a graduate of Blackstock High School and attended Winthrop College.She was former owner and operator of Rachel’s Beauty Shop for over fifty years and a member of Hopewell A.R.P. Church. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Westminster Towers for their loving care for Rachel the past thirteen years. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, one of whom was her caregiver, Frank Walker and his wife Kathie of Rock Hill, SC. Memorials may be made to Hopewell A.R.P.
