CHESTER Mrs. Lucille Pauline Hubbard Compton, 75, died Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC.The funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Tabernacle Ministries with Rev. Kenneth Compton officiating.The interment will be at First Baptist Church Blackstock Cemetery.The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Tabernacle Ministries. Born June 2, 1937 in Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Compton was a daughter of the late William Clyde and Elsie Ayers Hubbard.She attended the schools of Atlanta, GA and was retired from Springs Industries as a spooler.She was a member of Tabernacle Ministries Church where she supported the activities of the church. She is survived by her husband of over fifty-seven years Jerry L. Compton; three sons, William L. Compton and his wife Judy of Chester, Jerry O. “Todd” Compton and his wife Cindy of Chester and Buford D. Compton of York, SC; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Cameron of York, SC, Myrtle Melton of Gastonia, NC, Reba Humphries of Gastonia, NC, and Geraldine Hughes of Clover, SC and one brother, Frank Hubbard of Clover, SC.
