Paul Jones CHESTER:Mr. Paul Robert Jones, 87, died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at West Side Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Woods officiating.Interment will follow at Chester Memorial Gardens. Mr. Jones was born in Rutherfordton, NC on July 6, 1921, a son of the late John Judson and Fannie Ellen Noblett Jones.He attended school in North Carolina, was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, and was retired from Springs Industries.He was a member of West Side Baptist Church where he served as deacon, Sunday School teacher, and R.A. Director. He was the widower of Katie Estelle Hamrick Jones. Surviving are two sons, Bobby Hale Jones and wife Martha of Anderson, SC and Danny Lee Jones and wife Mary Ann of Chester; one daughter, Joyce Pressley and husband Tom Brown of Lowrys; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margaret Ray of High Shoals, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the West Side Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at 2709 Lowrys Highway.
