Patty Smith Oneppo

CATAWBA, SC: Patty Smith Oneppo, 52,of Catawba, SC passed away peacefully at her home on May 14, 2014, surrounded by her loved ones. A memorial service will be held at the log house in Landsford Canal State Park on Tuesday, May 20th at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends anytime at the home of Donald R. Oneppo, 1990 Park Drive, Catawba, SC. She was born in Munich, Germany on September 13, 1961 to Allen R. Smith and Inge A. Smith of Rock Hill, SC. She graduated from Fort Hill High School in 1979 in Cumberland, MD. Patty was an avid supporter of the Angelman Syndrome Foundation. One of her passions was rescuing homeless pets and she also enjoyed nature and loved to kayak. In addition to her parents she is survived by her loving husband Donald R. Oneppo; three sons, Josh Dorsey (Melissa) of York, SC, Kyle Dorsey (Casey) of Summerville, SC and Clint Dorsey of the home; one step-daughter, Angie Oneppo of Richburg, SC; one step-son, Richard Oneppo (Adrienne) of Rock Hill, SC; five grandchildren whom she cherished, Alexis, Kemper, Azlynn, William and Maddox; a brother, Darren B. Smith of York, SC along with many nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law Jane Oneppo of Edgemoor, SC.
