Patricia Henderson Wilkes

Patricia Henderson Wilkes, 85, died Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Helms-Gordon Residential Care Home in Fort Lawn, SC.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday, October 22, 2026 at Barron Funeral Home with Dr. Dwight Pearson officiating.  Interment will follow in Chester Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Thursday at Barron Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilkes was born November 5, 1940 in Chester, SC and was a daughter of the late Landrum H. Henderson, Sr. and Ellen Dillinger Henderson.  She was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1958 and retired from the former Jensen Paint plant in Chester after more than 25 years of service.  Mrs. Wilkes enjoyed reading, sewing and trips to the beach.  She was also an excellent cook.

She is survived by one brother, Landrum H. Henderson, Jr. (Elaine) of Charlotte, NC; a special niece, Carol Thomason; and numerous other nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilkes was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wilkes; a son, Michael Wilkes; and three brothers, Floyd E. Wilkes, Donald H. Wilkes and Grady L. Wilkes.
