Patricia Ann Motes Price

Patricia "Patsy" Motes Price, 82, died Friday, August 22, 2025 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends , Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Barron Funeral Home. The family will receive friends anytime at the home.

Ms. Price was born In Athens, Ga on December 22, 1942 and was a daughter of the late Jesse Vernon Motes and Etta Mae Foster Motes. She was a graduate of Chester High School and was retired as a Public Accountant after over 62 years of service, where she gained many friends throughout her lifetime. Patsy was an avid Gamecock and an Atlanta Braves and Washington Redskins fan. She absolutely loved Kidd Rock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons, James Bruce Ballew  from Chester, SC and Lloyd Michael "Mike" Dove  from Lancaster, SC and two brothers, Vernon and Waymon Motes.

She is survived by a grandson, Michael Lane Dove and her daughter-in-law, Tammy Dove, both of Lancaster, her sister, Teresa Motes Buff from Rock Hill and a niece and nephew, Nikkie Melton and Mykah Buff whom she helped raise as her own grandchildren. Patsy also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much and her family in Charleston and Georgia whom she kept a close bond with.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be in her name made to a charity of one's choice .
