Oma Shirah Corley

Mrs. Oma Shirah Corley, 85, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her residence, in Lyman, SC.The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.The funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Sullivan officiating. The interment will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. Born February 10, 1931 in Poulan, GA, Mrs. Corley was the daughter of the late Virgil A. and Leafie W. Shirah.She was a graduate of Chester High School and the Chester Vocational School Nursing Program and was retired from the Chester County Nursing Center in Chester, SC.Mrs. Corley was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Chester, SC.She was preceded in death by her husband Benny L. Corley of over fifty-seven years.She is survived by one daughter, Charlene C. Derrick, of Lyman, SC; three grandchildren, Heather H. Eidson (Matt) of Inman, SC, Garrett Wilson, Jr. of Easley, SC and Brittany A. Derrick of Greer, SC; three great grandchildren, Corley Eidson, Pressley Eidson and Haylen Davis.Mrs. Corley is survived by her sister, Barbara S. Gregory of Lakeland, FL and a brother, Ellis K. Salter of Inman, SC. She was preceded in death by three brothers, W.K. Shirah, Marvin Shirah and Clinton Shirah and one sister, Alene S. Ferrell.
