CHESTER, SC: Mr. Olan Guy Dean Revis, Sr., 90, died Saturday, March 25, 2017.The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Monday, March 27, 2017 at Westside Baptist Church.The funeral service will be 3:00 PM Monday, March 27, 2017 at Westside Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Fowler and Rev. Lewis Vehaun officiating.The interment will be at Chester Memorial Gardens. Born December 15, 1926 in Spartanburg, SC, Mr. Revis was the son of the late Donnie and Sara Wyatt Revis.He attended the schools of Asheville, NC and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.Mr. Revis was retired from Springs Industries.He was a member of Westside Baptist Church where he was a Sunday school teacher of the Men’s Bible Class for over sixty-five years, a Deacon and a choir member.He was the widow of Doris Boulware Revis. He is survived by three daughters, Pamela R. Gibson (Ronnie), Paula R. Wright (Phil) and Trudy R. Waldrep (David) all of Chester; one son, Dean Revis (Cindy) of Chester; six grandchildren, Christie Allen (Mark), Corey Gibson (Shannon), Phillip Wright (Kelly), Eric Revis (Laura), Will Waldrep (Blair) and Codie Revis and ten great grandchildren.
