Norman Leon Clack

Leon Clack, 78, of Chester, SC, passed away on June 11, 2021, at his home after an extended battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday June 13, 2021, at Barron Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Shaffer officiating.The family will receive friends also Sunday at Barron Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.Burial will be held in Armenia United Methodist Church Cemetery. Leon was born in Chester, SC and was the son of the late Johnny William Clack and Lillie Belle Lipford Clack.He was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1961.Leon spent over 25 years as a truck driver driving for Glenn Young, Jessie Grant, and Sequa Chemicals.He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.He also drove a school bus for Chester County Schools.Leon loved nature and wildlife.His favorite pastime was birdwatching.He also loved NASCAR racing and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. In addition to his parents, Leon was preceded in death by his beloved wife Cheryl Dawkins Clack and his grandson Scott Stowe.He is survived by a brother Francis Clack and a sister Elizabeth Brakefield, his son and daughter-in-law Lee Clack and Rebecca Cota, his son Eric Clack, and daughter and son-in-law Amy and Kerry Stowe, five grandchildren Joey Clack, Erica Clack, Cheryl Ann Clack, Noel Britten, and Matt Stowe, and two great-grandchildren Aiden Britten and Audyn Britten.
